The screens are the same size and the bezels are larger on the Pixel. There’s a fancy new telephoto lens, but I’m not looking to take zoomed-in creeper shots; I much prefer the utility of an ultrawide lens, and my S8 (while not ultrawide) is still wider than the Pixel’s. There’s a little more RAM, but the S8 is not slow, and I’ll take my larger battery with still-reasonable battery life, plus expandable memory and a better selection of protective cases any day.This kind of stuff makes me wonder: does Google have a no-compete contract with Samsung? They’re certainly making more money off of licensing Android to the Korean giant than by developing their own half-assed devices…
